Reducing the URL length makes sharing easier. bit.ly can be accessed through our website, bookmarklets and a robust and open API. bit.ly is also integrated into several popular third-party tools such as Tweetdeck. Unique user-level and aggregate links are created, allowing users to view complete, real-time traffic and referrer data, as well as location and metadata. Tracking stats are available after users shorten their long links with bit.ly by clicking on the Info+ link on bit.ly, or just adding a + sign to the end of any bit.ly link - for example, http://bit.ly/n0og+

I'm lovin Bit.ly, Wow :) Perfect Realtime stats and tacking the geographic locations, twees, shared on facebok etc..
Love the bit.ly approach of establishing the platform for url shortening - and then enabling us to use it as it fits our needs. Very flexible, easy to un-shorten for record keeping, and great use of the API key for tracking url metrics.
The bonus for us is the bit.ly sidecar toolbar we can open in Safari, Chrome or any other browser we are working in to access the account. Model way to innovate off of a niche service area.
We look forward to seeing business tiers of services for extending the url shortening and reporting even further!

Unrivalled. Excellent recent revision of interface allows multiple accounts to share the bit.ly. The mobile version is also a godsend for less than -¶smart-¶ phones that still need to shorten a URL: http://m.bit.ly
Yeah,it'll shorten your links...but have you checked out the analytics on the back end? Great stuff!
