Tool Reviews

Now that they've launched an iPhone, Android, and iPod app, GetGlue much more of a check-in tool for experiences (What TV I'm watching, What music I'm listening to) and topics than a web page rating tool. Plus they're starting to connect check-ins on TV to coupons in the real world. Worth trying out!

One of my favorite apps... If Foursquare is about checking in to locations, then GetGlue is about checking into everything else in your life. Find people with common interest, become the guru of everything from topics to gadgets to your favorite entertainment.

It's also a great way to discover new/similar topics of interest... although this could use a little extra work.

I like the concept of getting all media together, and not only movies and TV series like Miso, but I think it is not very intuitive... I am sure there's a lot of room for improvement!

Glue can be quite jarring to deal with, popping up during inopportune times, taking up real estate. I guess it's possible to make changes through the app's settings, but it has me wondering as to its usefulness. I DID use it to tweet a few times, and I got a good response to one (cuz it was Glue-y).

Love it or hate it (unlike me, who refuses to choose a side). I still have it installed -- for now.
