RK Pro is the premium version of RunKeeper that has no advertisements, audio cues, training workouts (ability to create time-based and distance-based interval workouts through your headphones), geo-tagged photos/status updates, and iPod playlist integration.

RunKeeper uses the built-in GPS in the new iPhone 3G and 3GS to enable runners, cyclists, hikers, skiers, walkers, etc. to track their outdoor fitness activities.

"RunKeeper is like Nike+ for your iPhone, only better", according to Adam Pash at Lifehacker.

"RunKeeper is the coolest freakin' iPhone application ever", according to Rick Broida at CNET.

Some of the data we enable you to track:
- duration
- distance
- pace
- speed
- total rise
- elevation versus speed
- path traveled on a map

Push 'start' when you start your activity and 'stop' when you finish, and we automate the rest!

In addition to tracking all of your stats, you can store all of your historical activities on your personal web dashboard at www.runkeeper.com. You can also see a map of your activities on both the iPhone and the web. And now, you can share your activities with your friends, as we have integrated with Twitter, Facebook, and a host of other social sites!

You can also hear all of your stats during the activity through the headphones without checking the display!

The Runkeeper Pro app is now free (hooray!) and I'm loving it. I started using the free version in October of last year (some lovely person told me it was available for Android) and then upgraded when the Pro app became free. And it's not just for running, you can track walking, elliptical, biking, and they've even added a lot of winter sports, skiing, skating, etc. There have been a couple...

I use RK to track my exercise. It logs route, time, distance and elevation.

This is my favorite app; gets me up in the morning, keeps me going on my runs, and inspires me to improve.

I am going to lose 65 lbs and this app is my biggest tool to get there. I have been racewalking since May. I added RunKeeper shortly after in June. I have lost 35 lbs so far and will lose 30 more. I have used it in daily training walks and 2 Half Marathons. I have more races scheduled this winter. RunKeeper pulls it all together and makes the journey fun and rewarding. There isn't a better way to spend $10.
